IZZY: A Double Gun Dealer Novella by Rue Volley

My review for: IZZY (Book 5 of Double Gun Dealers) by Rue Volley
My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Shanna Roberson

I know I say this every time but with each installment of this series it just gets better and better than the last. And IZZY is no exception! Its official, Ms. Rue has knocked my socks off again!

In this installment, we are taking back in time to how Izzy became ‘gifted’ for lack of a better word. Being bitten by a demon in the times that religion was an excuse to torture and killed those who didn’t conform well enough to their madness is far from a gift in her eyes. Calling her an outcast was a more accurate assumption, but it was the bite that saved her from the drowning the village had her endure to try and wash away the devil.

Years go by for Izzy and she is convinced that whatever the bite did to her it had allowed her some form of immortality. And in 1801, she is working in a seedy hotel/brothel in America when a handsome stranger and his sister and niece stumble into her life. There are revelations that reveal her true nature and her life will never be the same from that point on.

Without giving away too many spoilers, the ending had me gasping for breath as this group of hunters starts to come full circle. What an amazing ending! I can’t wait for SAIGON, the final book in this whirlwind series of demons and their hunters.
