Major Kelly Andres and Major Byron Grayson are part of a recuse you group called Onyx and are stationed at the end of a wormhole. The terrain is a frozen hellish land with subzero temperatures and overrun with Kirsovals, a human genetic experiment gone wrong. With most of the galaxy forced into slavery by their hand, the Kirsovals sought out the wormhole to conquer even more territory but Onyx thwart their plans and now they wanted their pound of flesh. The war was coming of that they were certain but the question was when? Even though this story was around 38 pages, the author made the most of those pages. Opening the book with characters that are already emotional involved and right off the bat, their love was tested in a time of great peril. Being a huge fan of science fiction, I would love to see more storylines like Winter in Paradise. It’s exciting, sexy and leaves you wanting more. T.C.
